Shadow Strike is just one of those games really which isn’t as much full arcade but falls into the category of being like a quick play, pick it up and play arcade style game It kindof sits nicely int that whole super cool area in gaming called "indie games". The game focuses on fast movement, aimed shooting and short high intensity runs. The visuals are realized with a simple stylized artstyle in which environments have high contrast and enemies can be noticed from the distance. Its core loop boils down to: start run; stave off the many dangers; kill the baddies, try and beat the score next run.
Single-player Experience
The story isn't terribly complex - you are a lone agent making his way through hostile conditions riddled with enemies to contain some sort of corruption that is consuming the facility. Every time, it feels like a run —you clear rooms, pick up power-ups and take on either a bite-sized boss or a gauntlet before it’s curtains for your run.
Progression is mainly focused on player skill with very few unlock chains. As you go, runs get harder; enemy patterns become more complicated and new dangers are added, which makes mastering the game very rewarding. Most of the time, a session lasts between 3 and 12 minutes depending on player skill and how far he/she decides to go; it is made for replayability with score chasing and small unlockable modifiers.

Browser Version & How It Works
Shadow Strike is compatible with new browser releases that satisfy the requirements for HTML5/WebGL. Gameplay for the browser version is the same as in a native app, but the game file has been made smaller and less memory will be used integrated to allow you to load it faster.
Pro Tip: We also have a small preloader, which downloads the required data in the background (the expected initial download is 20-60 MB, depending on quality of your settings). The downloaded files are stored so that it loads quickly the next time, but the game must be connected to the internet when you first launch it and when downloading updated leaderboards.
Cell Phone friends are OK, there are touch controls, but it will all depend on you device.

Summary & Final Verdict
Shadow Strike is a fantastic choose if you are after a great, single player game that respects your time. Excellent for short focused runs, and encourages high-skill play. It’s a nice pick-up for while you’re sitting around browsing, but those you want long story modes or really deep unlock paths might not find it to be enough. For arcade action, it does very nicely indeed.
Review: Try it if you like fast, surgical action that doesn't require much of a setup.
